They have the best katsu in ktown. I've been to literally every katsu place even the ones opened lately. They were good but I didn't expect that I will find the best one from Hodole. The portion is almost for two. I went there around 2pm in weekday. Two mid aged waitresses were so attentive and nice. Very reasonable price, generous portion, and good quality.

Love it love it love it. theres nothing better at 6am than a bibimbap with meat and rice. If youre headed from downtown & points south to the koreatown area (or points west) you will like pass this gem on vermont and olympic. It's open 24\7 and there are all kpeople eating there and getting takeout. its not the cheapest but at 5am ones choices are limited.

If you are aching for Korean cuisine like Galvi, Bibinbap, and other authentic mouth-watering cuisine at any time, 24 hours a day, drop by Vermont and Olympic Boulevard and go to Hodori Restaurant. They offer a variety of authentic Korean BBQ dishes that are cooked to make you salivate at the drop of the table, whenever you're ready to dine, etc. We all know their Galbi but at Hodori, the meat is super soft and well marinated, so it not only melts in your mouth but activates all your taste sensors in your tongue that induces you to salivate, hahahaha. If you order their Tofu soup and combines with their Bibimbap, I'm sure you'll be done for the night or day. Hodori is open for 24 hours to accommodate students from nearby USC and UCLA so if you're one of them, enjoy the parade of culinary awesomeness. Of course, just like any other Korean restaurants, they offer Banchan or pickled fruits, vegetables and other sweet treats, to begin your dinner or lunch. The price is above average thou and a little more pricey than other Korean restaurants. One suggestion, I hope the ladies smile a little more than just act like robots, that's, often they only respond when spoken to?

I visited Hodori recently, under new ownership, and got their spicy galbijjim (spicy braised beef). Their new spicy galbijjim is a highlight, with generous portions of tender meat, chewy rice cakes, and lots of melted cheese. The spice level is just right, giving a nice kick without being too much!! Restaurant is clean and spacious making it a plus They also have one of the lunch special, available Monday through Thursday for just $9.99 for some of their stews (dine-in only)!

Even with the change in ambiance and the prices have gone up...whenever I'm sloshed from a night out, I come here to refuel for the drive back. If you're looking for some late night comfort food and the experience that generally comes with it - this place always hits. Service was fast, and food came out good!

* Price: has gone up about 30% as every restaurant in LA. Bulgogi is about $25. Soup is about $17. The portion is still large, though. 3+ star. * Ambiance: casual but clean. 3+ star. * Location: Ktown. Free parking, but maybe it's hard to get parking during rush hours. 3+ star. *Meals: Comfort and favorable korean food. Decent banchan with meals. 4 star. * Service: So so... these ladies have been working here for a long time (same for the last 10 years). Just basic service. Don't expect a warm welcome! 3 star. Since their neighbor's restaurant Nakwon closed, this is our Togo comfort kroean restaurant. They open 24/7 rain or shine. You can definitely count on getting a good meal regardless of holidays and pandemic. We had beef bulgogi for $29.23 and yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) for $17 and left over for the next day in to-go container 50 cent each. Rice and tea are free with meals. For $52 (+ tips), we have 1.5 meals, which is not bad in the current economy.

Boombastic experience! This was not my first time dining here but I always love it! Food are delicious! We ordered Tofu, Robbokki and Beef Bulgogi (Apology for the spelling of these dishes if I did it wrong - this is how I remember them). Tip when you order: Look at the pictures on their menu - when it's red in color that means it's spicy! (I think from my POV) and when it's spicy they really mean it! Even if you told them to make it mild - it will still be super spicy but in a good way. Their staff are also the nicest and will listen to your requests. There are parking outside ( a lot ). The price is pretty $$$$ but I think because they are using the best ingredients. Very good Korean dish! I love and will still come back!
